The Rules for booking a space

Fair use

As a resident, you may use our meeting spaces for free on the basis of fair use. Fair use in general means:

• you are not using the space as an extension of your own office on a regular basis;
• the meeting rooms cannot be booked for purposes or people outside of your startup;
• every other tenant has enough opportunity to make use of the meeting spaces.*

The rules for booking a space

Every tenant can book our meeting rooms and community spaces as much as they like, taking our general rules for fair use into account.
*To make sure all residents have enough opportunity to make use of the meeting spaces, we have decided to give everyone “meeting credits”.

Blocking the calendar in advance for bigger/longer meetings, or reoccuring events, may mean that others won’t (ever) have the chance to book that space in that time window. We’ve decided on the rule that everyone who wants to book a space earlier than a day prior to the actual meeting, and to a maximum of two consecutive days, needs to use their “meeting credits”.

Meeting credits

Because all startups have events that need planning ahead every now and then, we’ve decided to grant everyone the same amount of meeting credits: 5 days (or 10 half days) per year.

Running out of credits but still need to block a space? You can pay for the use of the space with a 50% discount on the regular meeting room rates. Of course you will be notified of any costs for bookings in advance.

Kuyper room

• € 575 full day

Day parts

• Morning 8:30am – 12:30pm
• Afternoon 1:00pm – 5:00pm

After 5:30pm you will pay evening rate per hour: € 115
If your meeting extends by an hour during the day, you pay an hour extension rate: € 85

For each room, every extra hour you will start paying € 85 per hour. If it is after 5:30pm, or your entire booking is in the evening, you will pay € 115 per hour. The € 85 and € 115 rates are regardless of the space and regardless of the number of people. Rebooking from a morning to a whole day if a meeting runs very late is also possible, if the agenda allows. Example: if a meeting in Van Praag runs three hours late, it is cheaper to rebook than to pay by the hour. All meetings up to 10 people include free water, tea and coffee. Bookings above 10 people, we charge € 1,- per person.
