Marketing and Branding Intern: Assist in executing marketing strategies for VU-AMS across academic, medical, and sports markets by creating content, managing campaigns, and analyzing engagement.

Business Development Intern: Conduct market analysis, identify new business opportunities, and assist in drafting proposals for partnerships and expansion into new sectors like sports and mental health.

Product Development Intern (Wearables): Collaborate with the engineering team to support hardware prototyping and testing of the VU-AMS ecosystem, including integration of new sensors and wireless technologies.

Software Development Intern: Work with the software team to enhance the VU-DAMS software package (java), and iOS app (swift) focusing on improving the user interface and implementing new features.

UX/UI Design Intern: Design and test user-friendly interfaces for the VU-DAMS software, improving the overall user experience for researchers and healthcare professionals.

We use mushrooms to clean water, through a process called mycofiltration. We offer solutions to farmers, hospitals, governments and large polluters like the oil industry.

We offer internships for researchers in the field of ecology, microbiology, physics and chemistry, interested in pushing forward the field of applied mycology for water treatment.

Capsule Photonics

We are developing a pill-sized camera with advanced imaging technology for the early detection of esophageal cancer.

You will be responsible for designing and developing the user interface of our medical device—specifically, the display that clinicians see and interact with. The existing interface is only suitable for research and needs a complete redesign. Depending on the length of the internship and your needs we can focus more on the user needs and design requirements or more on the software – or both.

You will responsible for redesigning the imaging console – the cart that contains e.g. the light sources, detectors, etc. We will define requirements based on user needs, regulatory requirements and we will identify risks that need to be mitigated. Storks Robotics Lab

Robotics and embodied AI solutions for urban sustainability and circular economy. ROWR robotic project aims to revolutionize household organic waste management in urban environments. Based on AI, it collects, sorts, and processes household organic waste, which is then processed in a sorting facility, and further transformed into resources like animal feed, insects feed, compost, or biogas.

Mechatronics/Robotics Engineer Project. Focus: You will play a crucial role in the hands-on development and prototyping of the physical components of our revolutionary organic waste recovery ecosystem. This will involve working on the design, fabrication, and assembly of the self-driving robotic collection unit and potentially the automated sorting facility.

Computer Vision / AI / Reinforcement Learning Engineer Intern Project. Focus: You will be at the forefront of developing the navigation and object recognition systems. This includes designing and implementing computer vision algorithms for waste identification and sorting, as well as AI and reinforcement learning techniques for robot navigation and optimization.

Communications and Marketing Specialist Project. Focus: You will be responsible for developing and executing communication and marketing strategies to build awareness and generate excitement for our innovative organic waste recovery ecosystem among households, municipalities, and potential partners.

Agritech Specialist Project. Focus: You will be involved in exploring and optimizing the “resource” side of our ecosystem, focusing on how the processed organic waste can be best utilized to support local urban agriculture and other applications. This role blends biology, sustainability, and practical experimentation.

ReadLer

ReadLer is the first AI-driven speech assistant designed to help children learn improve their reading and speech.

Business Development – Funding: As our intern you will support the ReadLer team in identifying and developing funding opportunities including VCs and subsidies.

Business Development – Research : As our intern you will support the ReadLer team in insurance market scoping, solution adoption testing with end-users, and cost-of-acquisition research.

Data Science: As our intern you will support the ReadLer team in the development of our AI solution focusing on data generation/validation, model development, and model performance testing.
