VU StartHub / PfizerAI Debate Competition

Are you a student or researcher and are you interested in debating about healthcare challenges? And would you like to meet Pfizer, a leading life science health company? Then sign up now for the Pfizer Debate Competition on November 15^th and 22^nd at the VU StartHub. You can also apply as a spectator only.

It doesn’t matter whether you study in the area of data science, business, pharmacology or social sciences. Or in which research area you are specialized. Anyone interested in life sciences & health and affiliated to the VU can participate in the Pfizer Debate Competition.

During the first afternoon, on November 15^th from 16.00 to 18.00, we have discussed opportunities and threats AI offers healthcare in a team of students and researchers. We have formed three groups: Pro, Contra and Jury.

During the second meeting, on November 22^nd, again from 16.00 to 18.00, these teams will be contesting in the debate competition: pro, contra, pro, contra + final remarks. The jury will declare the winner.

By taking part in the Pfizer challenge brainstorm, you can actively participate in a discussion about the opportunities and threats of AI we are facing in healthcare. Perhaps your participation will eventually land you a great internship. Or you can explore possible cooperation opportunities.

There is room for 30 participants and spectators in total. So be sure to register quickly. To establish diverse teams we have created a mix of BSc, MSc and PhD students and researchers with different backgrounds.

• Practices from Phillip Kersten, consultant at PersonalAIze, one of the VU startups, specializing in AI solutions for healthcare
